LOCATION/
Aberdeen, UK

The proposed design aims to reinstate and explore the lost cultural heritage of Old Aberdeen, where the gap between the historic and the contemporary has grown increasingly evident. The built environment has experience a drastic shift in scale and materials, resulting in a character that contrasts sharply with the area’s historical identity. In response, the new scheme works in harmony with its context, thoughtfully bridging the old and the new.

The building’s primary function is to serve as a centre for digital making. Complemented by a library, exhibition space, lecture theatre, and café, the proposal creates a new local landmark., one where the community and students can come together to design, make, work, relax, and, above all, experience architecture
